Wells Art Contemporary competition

My plan was to enter competitions with the wallpaper design, however, I had to slow down my work due to schools closures for a few months. I decided to screen print one of my old ideas for an illustration. I did some quick digital sketches to decide on colours and gave it a go.

Whilst printing it turned out that colour relations from the sketches were't transferring fully to the actual prints- colour proportions were different as sketches weren't exact. I tried adjusting things slightly and came up with a few versions:

I submitted the last one into the competition.

I wasn't really happy with it, but had not time to play with colour more then. I decided to approach the process differently next time: scan in all the layers for printing into Photoshop and play with colour digitally before printing.
