Going back and forward

Painting with new quick techniques left me wanting more of the initial, more time consuming approach and I allowed myself to do 3 more attempts:

It was fun to play with light and dark using variety of colours and experiment with a number of marks. Some of them weren't as neat as I wanted them to(small white lines inside flowers), but decided not to edit them, at least not then. I added some abstract red shapes mirroring original leaves- they seemed to draw themselves and I really enjoyed them. Therefore I had another attempt:

I liked it. A lot. I felt I could stay here for quite some time and play with possibilities. However, I decided to move on and revisit after the first pattern is made.

Continuing in this style, I painted a succulent plant:

Yes, I will come back to do more like this. It takes time, but the process draws me in:)
