Printing workshops: colour separation in screen print

I didn't have much time to prepare photo for colour separation so decided to choose a picture which could serve as a room decor item for myself. in my reference file for the wallpaper and decided to practice on it. Since I was unable to buy the digital photo at the time, I knew I could only use it for experiments and maybe hang it up at home.

Earlier on I had been organising my work and came up with the idea of combining my floral designs with gold foil lines. I cut them out and scattered all over my flocking/screen print/ tin foil designs and was very happy with the vibe, so decided to take it further. I planned on printing another layer with gold paint resembling those scattered pieces of foil. Luckily for me I was the only one to turn up at the workshop so was able to follow through with my idea in one day.

Absolutely loved the gold! Thought of adding more similar lines in different colours, with varying degree of value to create more depth. Was thinking of making a few floral compositions with such lines on the top. Also would add those lines to the second version of wallpaper (gold leaf) and maybe the first one too(drawn gold marks).

Moreover saw them as a part of screen print project for the drawings of acrobats I had made. I was going to transfer them into screen print a long time ago. I have always though of showing dynamics of movement in form of some lines and now i knew that I would like to try this kind of gold lines on them too. Hopefully this summer I could prepare drawings for screen and even make a painting with gold leaf on top.
